SPEECH AND LANGUAGE
Mrs. Janet Platz
A part-time Speech and Language Pathologist is available to provide the following services: 1. Evaluation; 2. Consultation; 3. Individual and Group Counseling.
PSYCHIATRIC, PSYCHOLOGICAL & SOCIAL WORK ASSESSMENTS
A Psychiatric consultant is available to review cases and advise our counselors. School Social Workers also provide evaluations in addition to their counseling duties. The School Psychologist conducts triennial testing.

Officer McGowan
Officer Tom McGowan, a Manchester Police Officer, splits his work days between Illing Middle School and MRA as a School Resource Officer (SRO). The goals of the School Resource Officer program are to break down the barriers between law enforcement and youth; to establish better communication, cooperation and understanding; to provide a visible and positive image for law enforcement; to be a confidential source of counseling to students and to help young people make more positive choices in their lives.
